This is a very nice specimen, consisting of bright robin’s egg blue botryoidal crystalline hemimorphite filling matrix voids. The back is sawn flat. The blue color is likely due to traces of copper substituting for zinc. These vividly-colored hemimorphites have been relatively rare finds, but a quantity were produced from a recent find at the mine in 2008.
