MALACHITE Pseudomorphs after AZURITE

From the recent find of malachite and azurite from the Milpillas Mine comes this piece, consisting of a cluster of dark green, fibrous malachite pseudomorphs (to over 1 cm long), after original azurite crystals. No damage. A good article on these occurrences can be found in the Mineralogical Record , Volume 39, Number 6 (November - December, 2008), pages 25 – 34.
