HEMIMORPHITE on LIMONITE

Small Cabinet (6.7 x 6.0 x 3.3 cm)

This specimen consists of colorless transparent flattened hemimorphite prisms to over 1 cm long on limonite. Small (less than 0.1 cm) yellow spherical mimetites are lightly scattered on the limonite matrix and among the hemimorphites. Very clean of damage. An excellent summary of this deposit is found in the special Mexico II issue of Mineralogical Record, Vol. 34, No. 5, September – October, 2003.
