This outstanding specimen consists of undamaged transparent bright orange spessartine crystals up to 0.3 cm, scattered across a tan orthoclase matrix. The spessartines also encrust the prism surfaces of several smoky quartz crystals (the largest is about 4 x 2 x 2 cm) which are also anchored to the orthoclase matrix. The spessartines all appear to be of the 24-sided trapezohedral habit, with striated faces. There are also a number of very small (up to 0.1 cm) green muscovite crystals scattered across the matrix.
