Miniature (5.6 x 4.2 x 2.7 cm)

Lustrous black prismatic aegirine crystals to over 1.5 cm on a matrix of orthoclase crystals, with associated orange zircon and rock crystal quartz. A very nice association specimen. From the recent find – see Rocks & Minerals, Volume 77, Number 1 (January-February, 2002), pp. 31-37 for a well-written description of current collecting at this locality.
