Miniature (5.5 x 4.3 x 3.3 cm)

Lustrous black prismatic aegirine crystals averaging about 1.5 cm long on a matrix of orthoclase crystals, with associated minor orange zircon (see photo) and rock crystal quartz on the base. A very nice association piece. From the recent find – see Rocks & Minerals, Volume 77, Number 1 (January-February, 2002), pp. 31-37 for a well-written description of current collecting at this locality.
