Jade and Tiger Eye Gem Tree
on Calcite Base
Rucks' Pit
Okeechobee County,
Florida.

As a family, we collected this fossilized calcite clam base on one of many mining trips to Rucks' Pit near Ft. Drum, Florida in 2003.  An added feature of this calcite base is that it fluoresces and phosphoresces a pale yellow-green color under short and long wave black light. The bear mother and cub add a wilderness look to this tree.
