Triple multi-matrix specimen consisting of a complete articulated basal Mercenaria with a little calcite along the hinge line, overlain by a full-bridge clam half-filled with honey-yellow calcite crystals to over 1 cm long. Topping off this piece is a “one third” bridge clam cast (most of the shell has been naturally dissolved) with smaller amber calcite crystals coating the inside.
