Cabinet – Matched Pair (10.3 x 5.5 x 2.5 cm & 10.5 x 6.5 x 3.1 cm)

Exceptionally well-matched pair of polished carnelian agatized coral, with a botryoidal interior lightly coated with common opal. Solidly agatized, as seen in the backlit photo below. Shows very nice yellow fortification banding under longwave and shortwave UV light. Defunct locality. From the upper Oligocene - lower Miocene Tampa Member of the Arcadia Formation (Hawthorn Group).
