This is an outstanding agatized coral specimen from a closed Florida locality! The thin geode walls are comprised of brown, tan and gray fortification agate. The two interior chambers consist of a white common opal layer, and the lower chamber is mantled by a very thin coating of colorless sparkling micro drusy quartz. Fluorescent yellow under longwave and shortwave UV light. Collected from the St. Marks Formation (lower Miocene). Sold as a polished, matched pair.
